Graça Magalhães

Graça Magalhães is an artist and assistant professor of drawing and art at the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro. She is an active member of the Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture (ID+) and collaborative researcher of the Research Institute in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS), Oporto. She participates in international congresses and projects, writes publications focused on drawing and design and contributes to a series of scientific commissions and boards. She also works as curator. Her academic background won her a succession of scholarships granted by the Science & Technology Foundation, the Portugal Ministry Foreign Affairs, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Monbusho, Japan. She worked as an artist in Portugal and abroad. She is living in Portugal since 1993.
