Halim Rane

Halim Rane is an associate professor of Islamic studies in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science and Centre for Social and Cultural Research at Griffith University. He specializes in the study of Islam-West relations and has authored or co-authored over sixty publications on topics concerning Islam and Muslims in contexts of geopolitical conflicts, media representation, religious and ideological extremism and interreligious relations. He is a founding member and former president of the Australian Association of Islamic and Muslim Studies (AAIMS).
