Helen Farrell

Helen Farrell’s practice includes painting, drawing and printmaking. Her work has been exhibited widely and is held in private and public collections in Ireland, the UK and Europe. She is a part-time lecturer in fine art at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design (MTU CCAD), now part of the recently established Munster Technological University. She completed an MA in comparative aesthetics at University College Cork (UCC) and, in 2016, graduated with a Ph.D. in philosophy from UCC, for which she was awarded an Irish Research Council Scholarship. In 2020 she co-founded Drawbridge a drawing research network based in MTU CCAD with the aim of consolidating and promoting current drawing practice within the college and developing future drawing workshops and research projects.
