J. Inscoe

J/J./Jae Inscoe (they/them/theirs) is a Ph.D. candidate in UMBC’s language, literacy and culture programme. They are currently completing a dissertation on legendary radio broadcaster Paul Harvey to examine the White male conservative radio broadcaster voice in the twentieth-century United States. J’s research embraids linguistics, voice studies and gender/sexuality studies to understand historical discourses on the human voice, which intersect with political identity, ability and morality.
