Jonatan Leer

Jonatan Leer is a professor of applied sciences and head of food and tourism research at University College Absalon, Roskilde (Denmark). He has published widely on food culture in journals such as Food and Foodways, Food Culture and Society, Anthropology of Food and European Journal of Cultural Studies. He has authored three books in Danish and edited the books Food and Media (Routledge, 2016) and Research Method in Digital Food Studies (Routledge, 2021) and contributed to nine anthologies including Alternative Food Politics (Routledge, 2018), Food and Popular Culture (Bloomsbury, 2017) and Food and Instagram (Bloomsbury, 2021). Jonatan is a visiting lecturer at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, and member of the Danish gastronomic academy.
