Judith Sandner
Dr Judith Sandner is a mid-career researcher with expertise in Critical Discourse Studies and the application of communication theories, as well as multidisciplinary research methodology training for Communication, Design & Information Technology Honours and Postgraduate students. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Media and Communication from the University of Newcastle in 2010. Her Thesis: Communicating Community: Cultural Production, Habitus & the Construction of a City’s Identity, was about power relationships which underpinned theatrical and film productions developed through collaborative work with locals, to tell factual, high-profile ‘Newcastle’ stories. Dr Sandner’s current teaching profile includes Communication and Discourse and Digital Communication Studies at the University of Newcastle, NSW.
