Kate Warren

Kate Warren is a lecturer of art history and curatorship at the Australian National University. With expertise in modern and contemporary Australian and international art, she carries out research in the areas of lens-based artistic practices, arts writing and criticism, curatorship and curatorial education. She has published in journals including Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, History of Photography, Senses of Cinema, EMAJ: Online Journal of Art and Persona Studies. She has worked professionally as an art curator, focusing on contemporary moving image and time-based art, including at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, in Melbourne. She is also active as an arts and cultural critic, including as co-editor of Peephole Journal, an online journal dedicated to creative film criticism.
