Kenn Taylor

Kenn Taylor is a writer, producer and lecturer whose work has a focus on culture, community class and place. He has worked on culture and heritage programmes, with a community and socially engaged focus, for over fifteen years. This has taken place across five cities and varied from grassroots initiatives to working for major cultural institutions. His writing has appeared in outlets including The Guardian, Museums Journal, Engage Journal, Social Works?: Open Journal and Liverpool University Press. He is a visiting lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University. He has also delivered lectures at institutions including the University of Leeds and Leeds Arts University and appeared as a speaker at several national conferences. In 2016 he received a curatorial research grant to explore socially engaged arts practice in underinvested areas of Detroit and Chicago. Taylor wrote one of the articles published for the 2020 Working Class Academics Conference.
