Keri Watson
Keri Watson is assistant professor of art history at the University of Central Florida. The recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Fulbright-Terra Foundation and Institute of Museum and Library Services, her research explores the ways in which art de/constructs normalized sexist, ablest and racist representations and spaces, challenges neoliberal hegemony and offers techniques for an expanded and inclusive world view. She has curated numerous exhibitions including Finding Home: The Global Refugee Crisis (2018); Resilience: Remembering Pulse (2017); and In the Eyes of the Hungry: Florida’s Changing Landscape (2017) and contributed essays to publications including Disability and Art History; Eudora Welty, Whiteness, and Race; the Journal of Cultural and Disability Studies; the Journal of Museum Education; and Mosaic: A Journal for the Interdisciplinary Study of Literature.
