Mahjoob Zweiri
Mahjoob Zweiri is the editor and founder of the Journal of Gulf Studies. He is a professor in contemporary politics and history of the Middle East – with focus on Iran and the Gulf region – and the director of the Gulf Studies Center at Qatar University. Professor Zweiri has more than 85 publications in the areas of Iran and contemporary Middle East history and politics, Gulf studies, the future of the field of social sciences, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the social sciences. In addition to Arabic, Professor Zweiri is fluent in English and Farsi. He tweets @mzweiri.
