Maria Paktiti
Maria Paktiti is a consultant at Deloitte Alexander Competence Center in Thessaloniki, a legal advisor in Greece, and a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO). She holds a Bachelor in Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an M.Sc. in Law and Economics from the University of Macedonia (UoM), Thessaloniki. She is a researcher at the Smart & Mobile Interactive Learning Environments (SMILE) research centre at UoM. Her research interests include personal data protection issues, intellectual property rights, new technologies and interdisciplinary research. Over the past years she has been investigating blockchain technology and smart contracts. More specifically, she conducts interdisciplinary research (law, economics and technology) on smart contracts and their integration in the tourism sector. Maria Paktiti is also advising public authorities and businesses on the legal issues of smart contracts.
