Marika Sardar

Marika Sardar is an independent scholar who has held curatorial positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Diego Museum of Art, the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, and the Aga Khan Museum. Her most recent publications include The Ramayana of Hamida Banu Begum, Queen Mother of Mughal India (with John Seyller and Audrey Truschke, Silvana, 2021) and ‘Dressing in the Deccan: Clothing and Identity at the Courts of Central India, 1550–1700’, in In-Between Textiles Weaving Cultural Encounters in the Early Modern World (Amsterdam University Press, forthcoming).
