Marinus Samoh Yong

Marinus Samoh Yong is associate professor of translation and literary studies, Department of Foreign Languages, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is currently teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in translation, Francophone African literature and world literature in translation. He is a co-author of ‘The wrath of war and the ruin of the woman: A socio-critical analysis of Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’, a chapter in Women and the Nigeria-Biafra War: Reframing Gender and Conflict in Africa published by Lexington Books, 2020. Besides publishing many articles on translation studies and literature in English and French, he has translated and published a critical work by Christian Anieke on Chinua Achebe’s trilogy from English to French: La Trilogie de Chinua Achebe: Une Etude de la communication biculturelle (Abic Books, 2014). He has also translated a theatrical adaptation of Achebe’s Arrow of God written by Emeka Nwabueze, When the Arrow Rebounds (Abic Books, 2005) to Quand la flèche rebondit (Abic Books, 2017).
