Matt Davies

Matt Davies has lectured in international political economy at Newcastle University since 2006, and since 2015 he is a visiting professor at the International Relations Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He is the author of several articles on everyday life, popular culture and world politics in journals such as International Political Sociology and Alternatives and is also an editor for the Popular Culture and World Politics book series published by Routledge. In addition to research into everyday life, culture and aesthetics in international political economy (IPE), he also writes on work and labour and, more recently, has begun researching the relations between culture and labour in the built environment and the IPE.
