Maud Jacquin

Maud Jacquin is an art historian and curator. She is co-director of Art by Translation, an international research and exhibition programme involving partner institutions in four countries and participating artists engaged in a post-master course. Since 2015, they have conducted extensive research on Alison Knowles’s intermedia work The House of Dust (2016–19) and reactivated its generative potential through several group exhibitions, symposia and performative events in New York, Montreal, Paris and Los Angeles. She received her Ph.D. from University College London, completing a thesis on the politics of narrative in women artists’ film and video. In relation to this research, she notably curated a retrospective of films and performances by Maria Klonaris and Katerina Thomadaki at the Jeu de Paume in Paris as well as ‘From reel to real: Women, feminism, and the London filmmakers’ (2016) co-operative’ at Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
