Megara Tegal
Megara Tegal is an independent researcher with an interest in women’s rights, especially within minority communities. She has contributed to, and written, reports on anti-Muslim violence in Sri Lanka. She has also produced a documentary on the need for reforms to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act of Sri Lanka in order for Muslim women to access their fundamental rights. Megara has a master’s degree in gender studies from SOAS, University of London, and is a Chevening Scholar.
