Ni Fan

Ni Fan is the professor and associate dean in the School of Art at Liaoning University and a visiting professor of Royal Holloway University of London, sponsored by the China Scholarship Council. She has researched Asian drama, film performance and adaptation for the past ten years and studied Tadashi Suzuki’s actor training method for one year in Beijing and Toga, Japan. She has published Research on Rebellious Female Images in Ang Lee’s Oriental Movies and Japanese Modernist Film Master Akira Kurosawa and Rashomon. She translated an English-language Noh Emily into Chinese in cooperation with Ashley Thorpe at the Royal Holloway University of London in 2020. It will be published in 2021 by the Liaoning University Press.
