Nicole Kançal-Ferrari
Nicole Kançal-Ferrari served as co-director of the Historical and Cultural Heritage Inventory Project of the Ahıska (Samtskhe-Javakheti) Region in Georgia (2017–19) and the Crimean Historical and Cultural Heritage Inventory Project (2012–16), both carried out under the auspices of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). She has published on the material culture of the northern Black Sea region, the culture of the Golden Horde and Crimean Khanates, and Islamic visual culture and representational theories. She currently teaches History of Art and Architecture at Marmara University, Istanbul.
