PAUL WATT

Paul Watt is adjunct professor of musicology in the Elder Conservatorium of Music, The University of Adelaide and director of research at the Busking Project, Berlin. Paul’s work on busking has been published in Journal of Musicological Research, Musicology Australia, Nineteenth-Century Music Review and in Jeffrey Ian Ross’s edited volume, the Routledge Handbook of Street Culture (2021). With Daniel Bacchieri, Watt is the author of ‘Street music’, in Oxford Bibliographies in Music (Oxford University Press) edited by Kate van Orden. He is the author of Ernest Newman: A Critical Biography (The Boydell Press, 2017) and The Regulation and Reform of Music Criticism in Nineteenth-Century England (Royal Musical Association Monographs) (Routledge, 2018).
