Pedro Gallo
Pedro Gallo is a Ph.D. student in the media research programme at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where he has a predoctoral contract for doctoral training since September 2021. He is a member of the research group Audiovisual Diversity, and his predoctoral contract is linked to the research project ‘Diversity and Subscription Video-on-Demand Services’. His thesis seeks to analyse the operators of subscription video-on-demand services in the Spanish market, with special attention to those that operate on a global scale and whose headquarters are located in the United States. Additionally, he has worked in various online marketing agencies as an SEO specialist and his main line of research is the political economy of communication and culture, with special emphasis on the digital environment. He studies diversity in the cultural industries and currently teaches the subject cultural and communication industries.
