Robert McKee Irwin

Robert McKee Irwin, a specialist in Mexican and Mexican American culture, gender studies, and contemporary migration in North America, is professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California, Davis, where he is also deputy director of the Global Migration Center (https://globalmigration.ucdavis.edu/). He is also (co)author or (co)editor of Mexican Masculinities, Dictionary of Latin American Cultural Studies, Global Mexican Cinema: Its Golden Age, among other titles. Currently, he coordinates the Humanizando la Deportación digital storytelling project: http://humanizandoladeportacion.ucdavis.edu/ in collaboration with colleagues from various Mexican universities.
