Ryan P. McCullough
Ryan P. McCullough is an associate professor of communication in the Department of Media and Visual Arts at West Liberty University, a small public institution in West Liberty, WV. He also serves as the director of the university’s introductory public speaking course. He teaches courses in public speaking, media theory, media research, media law and ethics, writing for digital media, and public relations. His research interests include the intersections of media ecology, communication and media ethics, communication and media pedagogy, rhetoric, and strategic communication. A previous version of this article earned the Top Paper award in the Media Ecology Division of the Eastern Communication Association’s 108th Annual Convention in 2017 held in Boston, MA.
