Samantha Lampe
Samantha Lampe is a first-year Ph.D. student in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s musicology programme. Her research interests include the performance of gender, race and mental illness in musical theatre from the 1960s to the present, along with analysing the Megamusical both on and off the stage. She received her master’s degree in musicology from Northwestern University Bienen School of Music in 2018 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in music at Carthage College in 2017. She has presented at multiple regional conferences including the Midwest Graduate Music Consortium in 2018 and the AMS Midwest Conference in the fall of 2019.
