Samita Nandy

Samita Nandy is an author and cultural critic of fame. She holds a doctorate in celebrity culture from the Department of Media & Information at Curtin University, Australia and is a certified broadcast journalist from Canada. As the director of Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS), Samita Nandy Productions, and author of Becoming Media Critics and Fame in Hollywood North, Nandy is the first celebrity studies scholar to be on tabloid press and has been publicized for her views in media, including The Telegraph (United Kingdom), CBC, VICE, Flare, Chatelaine, SUN Media, 24 Hrs news Yahoo! Entertainment and many more. She has been published in Celebrity Studies and in a number of book chapters.
