Shaun Gardiner
Shaun Gardiner is an artist and writer based in Stromness, Orkney, where he lives with his wife, plus their two cats and dog. He was born in Bahrain, moving to the United Kingdom in his teens. In 2022 his first graphic novel, The Boy with Nails for Eyes, was published by Cast Iron Books. The story is partly inspired by Shaun’s experiences as a kid during the Gulf War. As well as standard book format, The Boy with Nails for Eyes is also being published in an experimental digital form combining comics and animation with a full orchestral soundtrack.
