Simon Ferdinand

Simon Ferdinand (University of Amsterdam) is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work sits at the intersection of visual culture, geography and globalization studies. His articles appear in GeoHumanities and Environment and Planning D, and his monograph Mapping Beyond Measure: Art, Cartography and the Space of Global Modernity is under contract for the University of Nebraska Press. He is currently co-editing the volume Past and Peripheral Imaginations of Globalisation, and has begun a new book project on historically marginal visual representations of the whole earth.
