Soumik Pal
Soumik Pal is a scholar of Indian popular cinema, interested in the relationship between the state and popular culture. He earned his Ph.D. in cinema studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. His dissertation was on stardom, masculinity and popular culture in the times of neoliberalism and fascism. He is currently working as assistant professor, Department of Filmmaking, SEAMEDU at Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune.
