Tiela Garnett
Daughter of ‘Golden Age’ director Tay Garnett and actress Mari Aldon, Tiela Garnett was born in Los Angeles where she grew up in the world of movies. She moved to Paris in her 20s and worked with a variety of talented people, including jazz legend Nina Simone and director Jean-Charles Tacchella. Her son Taylor was born in Paris, her daughter Chloe in New York City, where she raised her two children as a single mother, becoming an ordained minister at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 1996. Today, her children are grown and, when she is not travelling, she is at home in Connecticut, writing, counselling clients, watching movies and practising yoga. Son Taylor lives in London, while daughter Chloe lives in Connecticut like her mother. Author page:
