Valentina Fedele
Valentina Fedele is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Calabria, in the Sociology of Islam. Her main research interests are Islam and diasporic Muslims and Islamic masculinities and social movements in contemporary North Africa. Her chapter ‘Dietary Practices and the Bargaining of an Islamic Lifestyle Among (Un)organized European Muslims: Some Reflections from French Diasporic Muslims’ appears in ‘Everyday Life Practices of Muslims in Europe’ (2017). Her article, ‘The Challenge of “Protest” Masculinities: How Arab Riots Have Changed the Representation of North-African Masculinities in the Public Space’, appeared in MASCULINITIES (2016).
