Varvara Iashchenko
Varvara Iashchenko has a Ph.D. in biology and for over ten years worked in research at the intersection of microbiology and symbiosis. Today she lives in Norway and works as a freelance illustrator, focusing on those things that need a magnifying glass or imagination to be visualized: tiny cells and intracellular structures, life cycles and translucent invertebrates. She appreciates both scientific accuracy and the aesthetics of images, and wishes to illuminate the most proximate impressions of nature and connect them with the ever-expanding science of nature.
