Xueli Wang

Xueli Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in history of art and film and media studies at Yale. She researches Chinese art and film since 1900; global new wave and slow cinemas; history of photography; and Asian diasporic aesthetics. Her art and film criticism has appeared in Art in America and the Los Angeles Review of Books. She is the 2021–22 Mellon-Marron Research Consortium (MRC) Fellow in photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She received her MA in history of art from the Courtauld Institute of Art and BA in philosophy from Columbia University.
