Yatindra Ingle

Yatindra Ingle obtained his Ph.D. in mass communication from Pacific University, Udaipur and is presently assistant professor of multimedia and mass communication at Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai. He has been an active part of the Hip Hop scenes in India for over fifteen years as MC Yatin, and has hosted several dance battles and jams throughout the country. He designed the University of Mumbai’s groundbreaking certificate course on Hip Hop, and now serves as its course coordinator. Ingle has authored multiple course textbooks catering to the University of Mumbai’s undergraduate BAMMC programme for Vipul Prakashan besides having contributed to numerous academic journals and books. His work has also been presented at various conferences and seminars, most notably the British Association for American Studies’ Hip Hop & Higher Education Conference in 2021, the Hip Hop Association of Advancement and Education (HHAAE) and ASA College’s annual Global Conference on Hip Hop Education in 2022.
