Yusuf Salman
Yusuf Salman, at the time of writing this article, is a postgraduate student for the programme in Design, Technology and Society at Koç University in Istanbul. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Koç University and a previous career as a journalist, PR specialist, advisor and manager for various media organizations. His journalistic work focused on human rights and international politics, especially freedom of expression and information. At Koç University he has worked as a research and teaching assistant and did research for the European Union’s FP7-funded projects COSMIC (Contribution of Social Media in Crisis management) and COncORDE (Development of Coordination Mechanisms during Different Kinds of Emergencies).
