Zahra Falsafi

Zahra Falsafi is a second-year graduate student at Iowa State University (ISU) in apparel, merchandising and design. She is the recipient of the Agatha Huepenbecker Burnet endowed graduate research assistantship at the ISU Textiles and Clothing Museum. She earned her bachelor’s degree in design and sewing technology at Dr. Shariati Technical and Vocational College in Tehran, Iran. Her research interests centre the fashion system, identity and justice. Her thesis is titled ‘Consuming Qashqai (Iranian Indigenous tribe) fashions in the twenty-first century: Space, place, aesthetics and embodiment’.
