Zheng Ying
Zheng Ying is a doctoral candidate in gender studies at Utrecht University. She graduated from the research master programme of gender and ethnicity at Utrecht University. Her research interests lie in feminist theory, posthumanism, performance and re-enactment, and race and femininity in East Asia. This article is a part of her Ph.D. project ‘Performing history: Historical costume, gender and popular culture in contemporary China’.
