Andrea Rassell

Andrea Rassell is a filmmaker and science artist. She holds a Ph.D. in media and communications, titled ‘Wildly oscillating molecules of unanticipated momentum: Nanoscientific imaging, technological mediation and the moving image’, as well as degrees in filmmaking and biomedical science. Her work has screened at the New Zealand International Film Festival, the Imagine Science Film Festival, White Night, Sónar+D and the Oaxaca International Film Festival. Rassell’s research focuses on the making of experimental films and moving image installations that explore technological embodiment and the multisensory perception of the sub-molecular realm.
