Carrie C. Landfried
Carrie Landfried is an associate professor of French at Franklin & Marshall College. She specializes in the nouveau roman, specifically the orality characteristic of the literature of Nathalie Sarraute. She has published articles on the untranslatability of Sarraute’s final text, Ouvrez (1997) and the author’s relationship with radio. She is also the co-editor of a volume of Sarraute’s correspondence entitled Lettres d’Amérique (Gallimard, 2017). Her current research widens the scope to include other New Novelists such as Robert Pinget and Claude Ollier and centres on their radiophonic production and broadcast in France and the United Kingdom.
