Studies in South Asian Film & Media 16.1 is out now! Special Issue

Intellect is pleased to announce that Studies in South Asian Film & Media 16.1 is out now!

Special Issue: ‘India–Europe Film Connections’

This Special Issue, ‘India–Europe Film Connections’, features academic contributions on the nature of filmed space in Indian cinemas with specific reference to European locations. The journal issue draws on some of the work done during the four-year ‘EqUIP-ICSSR’ research project (2019–23)1 – a collaboration between five universities: Jawaharlal Nehru University, India; University of Basel, Switzerland; Novia University of Applied Sciences, Finland; the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Slovenia; Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. The project focused on studying the production and representation of European locations in Indian popular cinemas and its circulating afterlives.
