Abir Misra
Abir Misra is currently a registered doctoral candidate at the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India. His thesis titled ‘An enquiry into the structure and process of fan activity’ explores the persona and fandom of Shah Rukh Khan. He is currently focused on testing the efficacy of sociological and linguistic frameworks for addressing problems discerned in the studies of fandom and popular culture. His other interests include sociology of gender, film studies, structuralism, sociology of religion and Gandhian social philosophy.
