Abraham Hernández Cubo
Abraham Hernández Cubo, Ph.D., lectures in Spanish at King’s College London. His research interests include the depiction of memory in film and its connection with the endurance of national collective traumas off-screen, especially through the figure of the cinematic child. His doctoral dissertation traces the evolution of the representation of murderous children in Spanish cinema and analyses how the portrayals of these characters may be read as devices that relate film discourses to the sociohistorical circumstances of different periods in the recent history of Spain.
