Adrienne Trier-Bieniek

Adrienne Trier-Bieniek, Ph.D., is a qualitative researcher, editor of numerous collections, and public sociologist focused on the juxtaposition of gender, media and culture. Her edited books include Gender and Pop Culture: A Text-Reader (Brill, 2019) and The Beyoncé Effect (MacFarland, 2016), and she is the author of Sing Us a Song. Piano Woman: Female Fans and the Music of Tori Amos (Roman and Littlefield, 2013). She has also contributed research focused on qualitative methods for numerous books and journals. In addition to publications, Adrienne has been sought after by national news organizations to speak about the connection between gender and culture. She has been quoted in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Glamour magazine, NBC News, NPR, USA Today, Reuters, Glamour, Tampa Bay Times and the Orlando Sentinel.
