Àger Pérez Casanovas

Àger Perez Casanovas earned her BA in philosophy in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2017), and her MA in philosophy at University College London (2018). Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in the Citizenship and Human Rights programme of the University of Barcelona, supervised by Dr Núria Miras. Her research focuses on the intersections between critical disability studies, pragmatism and contemporary artistic practices from the lens of Carmen Papalia’s notion of open access. Before her Ph.D. she was a fellow researcher and documentarian at the Picasso Museum of Barcelona, first in the library department and afterwards with head curator Claustre Rafart. Since 2020, she has co-facilitated staff accessibility workshops with Carmen Papalia at the VAG and CAG.
