Alain Badiou

Alain Badiou is professor emeritus at the École Normale Supérieure and professor of philosophy at the European Graduate School. A former member of the Organisation Politique, he has written many books of philosophy, including his trilogy Being and Event (Continuum, 1988), Logics of Worlds (Continuum, 2006) and The Immanence of Truths (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2018). His writings on aesthetics include Handbook of Inaesthetics (Stanford University Press, 2005), Cinema (Polity Press, 2013) and The Age of Poets (Verso, 2014).
