Albert Elduque

Albert Elduque is a lecturer in film studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. His Ph.D. dissertation (2014) dealt with the concepts of hunger, consumption and vomit in modern political cinema. From 2016 to 2019, he worked at the University of Reading, where he was a postdoc researcher in the project Towards an Intermedial History of Brazilian Cinema: Exploring Intermediality as a Historiographic Method. His research areas are intermediality and film, political cinema, representations of national identities in film and music documentaries, with a focus on Spanish and Brazilian cinema. He has published his work in journals such as Screen, Alphaville and Cinémas d’Amérique Latine and is editor of the journal Comparative Cinema.
