Alejandra Marinovic

Alejandra Marinovic is a professor of applied ethics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has taught intensively in the areas of macroeconomics, international economics and labour economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research work focuses on social capital, citizenship education and socio-economic inequality. She has extensive experience in the public sector (2000–10), where she worked as advisor to the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Chile and as senior economist at the Central Bank of Chile. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University (New York), a BA and MA in economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
