Alessandro Lovari
Alessandro Lovari, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of sociology of communication at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Cagliari (Italy). Lovari’s research focuses on public sector communication, public relations and health communication. He studies social media impact on organizations and citizens’ communication practices. Lovari is member of the scientific committee of the Italian Association of Public Sector Communication and member of the European Project ‘SUPERA’ investigating the role of communication for achieving gender balance and inclusion in research activities. He was a visiting research scholar at Purdue University, University of Cincinnati, University of South Carolina and VCU (United States). He is the author of more than 70 publications appearing in books and international journals like Health Communication, American Behavioral Scientist, Public Relations Review and Media and Communication.
