Alex Affonso is a Dalhousie undergraduate student, who is majoring in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies. Alex was born in Rio, Brazil, and moved to Canada in 2014. He lived in PEI for about four years, during which time he completed high school. In grade eleven, Alex earned an Honorable Mention at the Cox & Palmer Island Literary Awards in the Creative Writing Awards for Young People.
