Alex Bádue

Alex Bádue is an assistant professor of music at Hamilton College. His research focuses mainly on contemporary US American musicals, including compositional processes, musical structures, reception and social impact of musicals by William Finn, Michael John LaChiusa, Jonathan Larson, Jeanine Tesori and the Disney musical. He is the author of Why Aren’t They Talking? The Sung-Through Musical from the 1980s to the 2010s (Cambridge University Press, 2022). He also conducts research on the interactions between Latin American and US American popular music industries.
