Alex Borkowski
Alex Borkowski’s research examines the gender politics embedded in digital assistants and AI applications, as well as contemporary media art practices. She also explores points of resonance between the Spiritualist séance as a media event and present-day computational technologies. Her work has appeared in The Conversation, Afterimage, openwork, Momus, PUBLIC, Journal of Radio and Audio Media, Canadian Art and Prefix Photo. She is a PhD Candidate in Communication and Culture at York University, Toronto.
