Alexander Burry

Alexander Burry is an associate professor of Slavic and East European languages and cultures at the Ohio State University. He is the author of Multimediated Dostoevsky: Novels into Opera, Film, and Drama (Northwestern University Press, 2011) and co-editor of Border Crossing: Russian Literature into Film (Edinburgh University Press, 2016). He has written articles on Fyodor Dostoevsky, Lev Tolstoy, Anton Chekhov, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Akira Kurosawa and other literary and cultural figures, and is currently working on a book on the Don Juan theme in Russian culture. He is co-editor of the Slavic and East European Journal.
